REPORTS TO: PROGRAM MANAGER

The Alcott Center for Mental Health Services, a nonprofit community mental health agency, is seeking an organized, motivated, and professional candidate for a full-time position providing substance use services. The population served are male and female adults being released from Los Angeles Correctional Facilities, having served time for quality-of-life crimes, with a full spectrum of DSM diagnoses, including substance misuse, who reside in our bridge-housing facilities. The individual will provide treatment planning, linkage, crisis, and rehabilitation and group education services as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in a focus related to Mental Health (MSW, MFT, etc.)
  • Proof of BBS registration within (90) days of hire date.
  • Local travel between agency sites is required.
  • COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required.
  • Proof of valid California Driver’s License required, Clean Driving Record required, and must be insurable on Alcott policy.
  • Live Scan is required.
    If driving a company vehicle is an essential function of your position, you are required to possess and maintain a valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable by our insurance carrier.
    All employees are required to be fully vaccinated and have (1) Booster upon hire date. If you have a medical or religious exemption proof will be required upon hire date.

    Schedule:
    This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week; the agency is currently open for services Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm.
    Pay: $67,000 – $70,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Assessment, Individual, Group Treatments and provide ongoing assessment of client progress in attaining goals.
  • Provide all the above in-person and virtually when needed.
  • Provide evidenced-based practices utilizing a harm reduction model when working with clients.
  • Provide ongoing therapy services that will decrease social isolation and prevent relapse risks; provide linkage and brokerage to any mental health, substance abuse, and meaningful community activities.
  • Provide crisis management, and other related substance abuse/mental health services to clients on the streets, in service venues, in housing placements, or other locations as appropriate.
  • Respond to urgent requests for assistance from clients as needed.
  • Participate in all meetings with collaborative agencies and other community meetings as directed.
  • Conducts 1:1 consistent with harm reduction principles to facilitate patient awareness, understanding, and motivation to change related to addiction and recovery issues, as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
