Description POSITION SUMMARY This role is central to ensuring safe, successful device implantations through direct case support, case management, and by providing physician and internal staff training when needed. The individual will be both a technical expert regarding the preparation and loading of our device in the operating room and a trusted partner in training programs for physicians and employees. In addition, the specialist gathers and analyzes patient-specific data and imaging to develop case presentations that guide the case support team, physicians, and internal stakeholders. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Device Preparation SME: Mastering all aspects of intraprocedural valve delivery system setup and supporting case teams in the operating room. Train company employees on proper device preparation and case support. Case Management: Independently plan and manage all aspects of the case management role, including preparation, training, and execution of required documentation for valve implantation. Ensure adherence to protocol before, during and after the procedure. Monitor patient health/procedure efficacy to ensure any issues or concerns are surfaced and properly addressed. Complete required documentation in a thorough, accurate and timely manner. Develop and deliver patient-specific case presentations, including imaging, anatomical details, and relevant clinical data, to support case planning and decision-making. Train company employees in proper case preparation and management. May provide backup support for case logistics coordination, including TSA and outside the U.S. (OUS) travel documentation for case teams. Requirements EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering or similar degree. EXPERIENCE: 2+ years in the medical device industry, specifically in Clinical Research or Field Clinical Engineering with cardiovascular devices. 2+ years of clinical background in cardiovascular procedures (e.g., cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, cath lab, or echo/sonography) preferred. Direct experience with interoperative device preparation and operating room procedure support preferred. Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, including proficiency in structural heart field, percutaneous/endovascular devices and techniques, current interventional practices and procedures, etc. Strong organizational skills to manage case planning, execution, and follow-up independently. Comfort working with electromechanical equipment, following technical protocols, troubleshooting issues and maintaining device readiness. Comfort working in a high-growth, pivotal-trial environment where priorities evolve quickly. Willingness to travel extensively (70+%), both domestically and internationally.
