About the Role Ortus Health is currently seeking a detail-oriented Remote Clinical Coder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring accurate coding of medical records and clinical data, which is essential for patient care, insurance reimbursement, and compliance with healthcare regulations. As a Remote Clinical Coder, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure that all medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatments are coded accurately and in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Review and analyse clinical documentation to accurately assign codes to diagnoses, procedures, and treatments using classification systems. Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain quality and integrity. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies. Stay updated with changes in coding practices and healthcare regulations. Generate reports and summaries as needed for auditing and performance analysis. Participate in educational opportunities to enhance coding skills and knowledge. Qualifications Proven experience in clinical coding within a healthcare setting, preferably in a GP practice. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in coding. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff. £24,375-£27,500 per annum based full time hours.
