Job Description: About our Role: Are you an experienced Clinical Coder looking a new role that provides you with flexible working arrangements to work from home, our any one of our private hospital locations. Whether you are based in Brisbane or in another capital or regional city, this role offers you the full flexibility to work anywhere in Australia. You will be responsible for assigning accurate and timely clinical codes to patient episodes of care at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, through analysis of patient record documentation and using the appropriate version of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, Australian Modification (ICD10AM) and applying Australian Coding Standards and relevant State Coding authority advice. The role is expected to be involved with ongoing training and education sessions and participate in ongoing audits. The successful applicant will be required to provide accurate and timely coding of patient records using ICD 10 AM. At least two years clinical coding experience. Previous experience with 3M Codefinder software. Experience in clinical coding across a range of DRGs with demonstrated high quality coding skills. Up to date knowledge of Clinical Coding guidelines and Australian Coding Standards and be prepared to participate in performance and quality improvement activities.
