On average, we see 25-30 patients daily. Our ED RN’s provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.   * Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations. * Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow. * Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives. * Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures. * Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements. * Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned.     Minimum Qualifications: Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 1- 2 years minimum Emergency RN experience required; 2- 4 years critical care experience preferred.  License: Current RN license in state of practice.  Certifications: Current RN license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
