The Department of Exercise Sciences is seeking a Clinic Coordinator to provide high-quality support for our Health and Rehabilitation Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to join New Zealand’s leading academic programme in Exercise Sciences and play a key role in supporting clinic operations, clinical programmes, and research activities.
As the Clinic Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our clinic, ensuring that patients, students, and staff receive excellent service and support within the Health & Rehabilitation Clinic, which provides high quality evidence-based exercise rehabilitation services for people living with heart disease and other chronic illnesses or injury.
You will manage bookings, patient records, enrolments, and correspondence, while also supporting clinical placements and clinic administration. The role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage competing priorities, and has a strong commitment to service excellence.

Are you someone who enjoys working with people and brings a calm, reassuring presence to busy environments?
We are seeking someone with proven experience in an administration, customer service or frontline medical role, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure. Experience in healthcare, tertiary education, or a similar environment will be an advantage. You’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, confident in managing records and systems, and comfortable working with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Frontline Reception role, greeting clients visiting the Health & Rehabilitation Clinic and Department of Exercise Sciences
  • Managing client appointments and scheduling of staff/students in Clinic activities
  • Generating invoices and managing client and internal payments
  • Coordinating internal/external clinical placements for students
  • Support the Department of Exercise Sciences with general reception and administration duties
