TEMP TO HIRE / CONTRACT TO HIRE Flexible schedule to supervisor interns and host some counseling sessions. SUMMARY The Supervisor of Clinical Counseling Services administers clinical counseling programs and services implementing a trauma-informed, systemic model of care consistent with program design and aligned with UGM-TC’s Mission and Vision. The Supervisor of Clinical Counseling Services provides leadership and oversight within the department, including staff, interns, and volunteers. RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Counseling Services To execute trauma-informed, systemic intervention through Intensive Family Therapy (IFT) and Solution Focused therapy models that directly address the root cause of poverty, and promote emotional well-being and stability for adults and children, the Supervisor: 1. Oversees the provision of high-quality clinical services and directs key programmatic areas: individual, group, trauma informed family therapy, and UGM’s crisis response team, utilizing a range of evidence-based clinical modalities proven effective in reducing trauma systems. 2. Upon receipt, reviews and assigns clinical counseling referrals to Clinical Therapists and interns as determined appropriate. 3. Collaborates with Department Leaders and Case Managers to ensure service integration and coordination. 4. Monitors for implementation and compliance (i.e., referrals, assessment, service planning, discharge, case record maintenance etc.). 5. Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings (MDT) as deemed necessary for select residents. 6. Provides mental health specific training and clinical consultation to UGM-TC program employees. 7. Promotes and supports cross collaboration with internal and external programs and services to ensure individuals and families with children are referred and linked to need driven supportive services. 8. Ensures appropriate and timely crisis intervention. Oversees after-hour mental health crisis calls, including the assignment of staff as deemed necessary to assist and support management of safety risks and/or mental health emergencies and occurrences. 9. Develops relationships and works collaboratively with local colleges and universities in the expansion of UGM’s clinical counseling internship program. 10. Coordinates placement of high-performing bachelor and graduate level interns pursuing professional clinical licenses. Provides licensure supervision for UGM Clinical Therapists seeking to obtain advanced licensure (LCSW). 11. Documents weekly supervision of directly supervised interns and provides on-going training and support as determined necessary. 12. Recruits substance abuse group facilitators; supports and oversees groups and activities. 13. Fosters a culture of excellence and promotes continuous quality improvement results aimed at strengthening service quality by engaging Clinical Therapists in UGM-TC. 14. In conjunction with the CHO, identifies key outputs, measurement tools, impact measures, program service targets related to the impact of services on clients served and indicators of quality-of-service delivery. Page Break 15. Utilizes internal mechanisms to collect and track timely completion of referrals. Utilizes and oversees maintenance of internal tracking mechanisms and implementation of information system to collect and track data monthly, quarterly, and annually. 16. Provides statistics and documentation required to maintain administrative records and report on program development. Leadership, Training, Supervision To promote and support the provision of high-quality services through a structured professional development and training plan that provides employees with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to achieve positive client outcomes the Supervisor: 1. Builds and maintains team morale. Creates an atmosphere of problem solving and learning. Facilitates regular feedback, growth opportunities, and a structure for collaboration. 2. Adheres to applicable clinical Code of Ethics and maintains licensure by completing all training in a timely manner as requested by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) licensing board. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION A minimum of five (5) years of post‑master’s clinical experience providing direct therapeutic services to individuals, families, children, and adolescents is required. Applicants must also have at least three (3) years of experience providing clinical supervision and program management. Must hold an independent clinical license in the State of Texas, such as LCSW‑S, LMFT‑S, or LPC‑S, and must meet all supervisory requirements established by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) and their respective licensing board. The supervisor must be authorized to provide graduate‑level supervision for students completing practicum or internship hours toward graduation from accredited colleges and universities. This includes maintaining compliance with Texas supervision standards, ethical guidelines, and documentation requirements. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities The supervisor must demonstrate: 1. Strong management skills and extensive history of professional leadership and managing staff. 2. A strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a complex and fast-paced environment. 3. Knowledge/experience working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, generational poverty, intimate partner violence; parenting issues, child development. 4. High level of personal and professional integrity, strong sense of ethics and respect for privacy and confidentiality. Understanding and knowledge of HIPAA requirements. 5. Knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office products. 6.
