The CDM will have advanced practice knowledge in the full scope of midwifery care and the appropriate experience to provide clinical leadership and work in a collaborative multidisciplinary team. The CDM will be a mentor, clinical education resource and support for new and less experienced team members in the provision of antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care in a range of inpatient and outpatient clinical settings.
