It provides acute, sub-acute, primary, and community‐based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding region. The North Canberra Hospital Division of Surgery is responsible for delivering inpatient and outpatient surgical services. The Division includes Surgical Bookings, Pre-Admission Clinic, Anaesthesia, Pain Management Unit, Operating Theatres, Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit, Day Surgery Unit, Admissions, Day Procedure Unit, Endoscopy, and specialist surgical ward areas. The North Canberra Hospital campus has two Endoscopy procedural rooms and provides the following endoscopic services for both inpatients and outpatients including gastroscopy, colonoscopy and bronchoscopy. Our Nurses are dynamic skilled professionals who are responsible for the provision of patient centered evidence-based nursing care for Every Patient. Our nursing team works within a multidisciplinary healthcare team supported by the Clinical Nurse Consultant Endoscopy and Day Procedure Unit.
