Duties and Responsibilities: Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families. Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect. Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery. Adherence to evidence based practices. Implements and maintains cost control procedures, and reserve the hospital l’s resources. Obtains diet histories from patients. Performing nutritional assessment and reassessments of patients. Plans and calculates therapeutic diets. Evaluating patient's calorie intake when needed. Development of nutritional plan of care. Highlighting "food-drug interaction" to clinical staff. Interviewing and visiting patients. Making recommendations related to patient dietary needs. Discusses  patient's  case  with  the  physician  and  nursing  staff  when necessary. Conducts lectures for the department periodically. Participates in awareness campaigns and events to improve community's knowledge regarding nutrition and health. Performs miscellaneous related duties as required by chief of medical nutrition. Reviewing and updating the dietary manual. Demonstrates accountability for the proper use of patients' protected health information and adherence to institutional safety practices. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in Clinical Nutrition PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Two year experience SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Good command of English and Arabic, both written and oral. Computer literate COMPETENCE: High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas. REQUIRED ATTITUDE TO PERFORM THE JOB: Proper, effective and compassionate communication. Positive, calm, confident, cooperative, and willing to assume leadership role and see tasks through timely completion.
