Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Clinical Director to join our Intelligence team in a key leadership role. As a member of the Intelligence Leadership Team and Intelligence directorate of the National Public Health Service, this position has shared accountability for the analytic and intelligence products for workstreams within NPHS. The Intelligence Directorate is a population and public health operational Intelligence team that is nationally and regionally networked, and collaborative across organisations and agencies.
We have three core responsibilities: to lead, coordinate, oversee and deliver actionable information and insights to support public health services and programmes; to drive system-level uplift to support high quality data and analytics services; and to lead and inform decision-making by anticipating future health challenges and potential options for intervention.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our technological advances in public health intelligence, and leverage from our new NPHS data platform and the opportunities of integrated datasets. The primary purpose of role is to provide senior clinical leadership to the Intelligence team and function to enable the delivery of NPHS strategic agenda working toward Pae Ora (Healthy Futures). You will provide strategic and system-level advice and guidance to the Director and leadership team with respect to public health intelligence, and information systems. You will also manage the clinical team; ensuring the requirements of the directorate are met across multiple portfolios and manage partner relationships.
