Job Summary: As a Clinical Education Manager (CEM) for the Oncology service line at Q-Centrix, you will serve as the essential link between Oncology data experts and the clinical education they need to excel. This role requires deep familiarity with the Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards and the accreditation lifecycle, including experience participating in or managing cancer committees, accreditation preparation, and survey readiness. In addition to delivering impactful internal training and continuing education, this role is uniquely positioned to expand Q-Centrix’s influence externally through professional development, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Education/Experience: Associate’s degree required, along with a minimum of 3 years of Oncology data abstraction experience in a healthcare clinical or cancer registry setting.
- Oncology Data Specialist–Certified (ODS-C), formerly known as Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR), is required.
- Experience with data submission to National Cancer Database (NCDB), edit resolution, and knowledge of Cancer Program Practice Profile Reports (CP3R) or Rapid Cancer Reporting System (RCRS) reporting standards.
- Working knowledge of American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging, solid tumor rules, Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) Summary Staging, and case finding best practices.
- Prior involvement in CoC accreditation cycles and cancer committee participation
- Experience with abstraction software and registry tools such as METRIQ, Abstract Plus, OncoLog, or CRStar.
- Demonstrates ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships, both internally and externally, to drive high-impact educational initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise with state-specific Oncology abstraction and submission requirements, with an emphasis on translating these complexities into effective training for Clinical Leadership Team members. Experience developing education around state reporting nuances

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as nursing, health administration, or healthcare management; additional qualifications in strategic management or business administration preferred.
- Experience developing CE-accredited programs and presenting at National Cancer Registrars Association (NCRA) or similar conferences.
- Prior role as a Site Data Manager/leadership position in a CoC-accredited program.
- Skilled in analyzing data to assess training effectiveness and using those insights to make smart, data-driven changes that improve results.
- Advanced Project and Process Management: Experience with refining and standardizing training processes, with knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with the Articulate Rise platform; additional experience with Learning Management System (LMS) platforms, such as Cornerstone, is a plus.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, even in an informal capacity, showcasing the ability to lead teams and manage projects at a higher level.
