Your Role at St John of God Bendigo Hospital We are looking for an experienced and dynamic educator to support clinical staff on our Surgical Ward. This role focuses on education, mentoring, and enhancing clinical capabilities to ensure high standards of patient care and professional development. You will play a critical role in the professional development of all caregivers at their hospital, working collaboratively with the L&D Coordinator, department managers and caregivers. The role is responsible for the delivery, implementation, assessment and evaluation of Learning and Development programs (including Graduate Programs) and activities that reflect best practice standards to achieve excellence in service. The Position Support and provide guidance to caregivers (including graduates) to meet individual learning and development goals and achieve departmental objectives. In collaboration with the caregiver’s manager, support them to address learning gaps, and meet performance development goals and plans. Collaborates with Department Managers, other learning and development caregivers and relevant key stakeholders to support learning and development activities locally. Supports an interprofessional approach to the delivery, assessment and evaluation of learning for all caregivers, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment. In collaboration with the L&D Coordinator and other key stakeholders, support the planning, onboarding, delivery and evaluation of the Pathways to Practice Graduate Programs and Pathway to Speciality Programs. In collaboration with the L&D Coordinator support the planning and supervision of student placements and support evaluation activities (undergraduate and postgraduate) as directed. Assists with orientation/induction as required. You will have Registration as a Health Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and demonstrate commitment to ongoing personal and professional development, as evidenced in a Continuing Professional development (CPD) record/Professional Practice Portfolio. To succeed you will have experience in small group teaching and group presentations and ability to motivate, support and encourage caregivers to further develop professionally. Above all, people will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values We can offer you Salary: $117,134 to $123,300 per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation Fixed term, part- time, working up to 45.6 hours a fortnight.
