Description

The candidate will be expected to provide supervised input into the care of device patients. The post would be ideally suited to those approaching or having achieved CCT (or equivalent) in cardiology with a subspecialty interest in complex devices. The role will include outpatient and inpatient management, device implantation and follow up. There will be an expectation to become involved in leading service evolution and waste reduction programmes.
The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the departments research and clinical trials programme. A tailored training programme will be negotiated around previous experience, and professional development plans. Whilst there is no formal commitment to out of hours work, there will be opportunities to contribute to gaps on the StR on all rota where appropriate. The applicant should be aware that this will mean only basic salary will be paid.
There will be opportunities to take part in the StR on call rota if there are gaps, but this should not interfere with the day to day commitments of the fellowship post
