Most patients requiring intervention are on a lung cancer diagnostic pathway, and the fellow will contribute attend the weekly Lung MDT and chair the weekly pleural MDT. The post holder will be expected to participate in departmental education and research.
If the post-holder is applying as a post-CCT fellow, they will also have the option of contributing to the acute medical take at SMH at consultant level, including providing respiratory input into newly admitted acute medical patients.
This is one-year clinical fellowship post designed to provide sub-specialty experience in pulmonary intervention.
The fellow will conduct a weekly supervised EBUS / bronchoscopy list.
A significant proportion of patients requiring intervention are on a lung cancer diagnostic pathway, and the Trust is currently working towards delivering the National Optimal Lung Cancer Pathway.
