Responsibilities
  • Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership and clinical experience as follows: Clinical Psychology/ Forensic Psychology – Accredited post-graduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical/Forensic Psychology and registration as Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA with endorsement in the area of Clinical or Forensic Psychology or working towards endorsement.
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based intervention in people with substance dependence or disorder. In addition, demonstrated capacity to act as an independent consultant in the specialty area of addiction.
  • Demonstrated competence in family focused, evidence based clinical assessment and intervention with a complex caseload in a community setting. This includes specialist knowledge of comorbid mental health and drug and alcohol problems, intra-familial child abuse and neglect, and contemporary family focused integrated treatment including risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well developed understanding of the interface between services.
  • Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from Indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated understanding of clinical supervision and a willingness to actively participate in supervision and multidisciplinary team clinical reviews.
  • Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to apply these skills to contribute to the Whole Family Team ongoing evaluation, monitoring and enhancement of service delivery including report writing.
  • Current Driver’s License and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
