Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Nursing Informatics Specialist to join our Home Health team. This role bridges the gap between clinical care and technology by leveraging informatics expertise to optimize home health operations and improve patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Epic systems, strong analytical skills, and a passion for empowering clinicians through data-driven solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Epic certification in relevant modules (e.g., Home Health, Care Everywhere) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-5 years of clinical nursing experience
- Proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and healthcare analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Epic Implementation and Optimization:
- Lead the integration, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Epic modules relevant to home health services, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Epic Home Health and other related applications.
- Collaborate with Epic analysts, IT teams, and clinical staff to troubleshoot system issues and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Clinical Workflow Analysis:
- Evaluate and redesign home health clinical workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance using technology solutions.
- Train and support clinicians on Epic functionality, ensuring proper use and understanding of tools.
- Work closely with clinicians to translate their needs into system enhancements.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Develop and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to track patient outcomes, clinician performance, and operational metrics.
- Utilize data insights to identify trends, improve care delivery, and inform decision-making.
- Education and Training:
- Create and deliver training programs for home health staff on Epic and other relevant informatics systems.
- Provide ongoing support and education to ensure successful system adoption and utilization.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure home health informatics systems comply with regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines.
- Support quality assurance initiatives by providing accurate data for audits, surveys, and accreditation processes.
