As the Clinical Instructor, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Respiratory Therapy in anesthesia by mentoring staff, advancing clinical practices, and supporting the professional development of both Respiratory Therapists and members of the Anesthesia Care Team working in expanded roles. This is a unique zone-wide position with the opportunity to collaborate across multiple sites, contribute to excellence in patient care, and influence the evolving scope of respiratory therapy within anesthesiology. Reporting to the Patient Care Manager – Centralized Surgical Programming and Planning, and supported by Edmonton Zone anesthesiology leadership, this role offers both autonomy and strong interdisciplinary connections. Description:

As a Clinical Instructor (Technologies), your primary responsibility will be the education and development of staff in our department, as well as other disciplines through orientation and continuing education. You will promote excellence and consistency in best evidence patient care in clinical practice. You will provide direct patient care in order to maintain competency and to understand the educational needs of the department. You will have a role in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, lead and/or participate in research projects, and develop training and educational modules/tools for new equipment/therapy and training requirements.
