Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford, Texas 76022 Work hours: Full Time (35 hours); First Shift; 2:00am – 12:30pm, 7 days on 7 days off Department highlights: • Team based environment • Workplace culture 2nd to none • Great benefits/ 401k / PTO Here’s What You Need • High School Diploma or Equivalent required • Other – CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required • 6 months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a semester course in phlebotomy preferred • 6 months of hospital phlebotomy experience preferred • PBT (ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician Upon Hire preferred What You Will Do • For those entities performing phlebotomy, employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient • Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines • Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens • Follows established laboratory test procedures • Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity • Reports and evaluates test results • Facilitates workflow process • Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care • Processes specimens • Demonstrates ability to perform specimen processing protocols • Participates in orientation and training of students, volunteers, new employees, and observers • Maintains commitment to profession by attending continuing education sessions. (ex.
