The Clinical Leader is a key member of the NICU leadership team, working collaboratively with staff and the medical team to facilitate high quality care delivery for patients and families. This role provides frontline leadership support within the NICU, working with teams to facilitate daily clinical operations, support clinical practice, foster professional development and drive projects and initiatives within the domains of Quality, Practice, Respiratory Therapy, Neonatal Transport and Patient Flow. The Clinical Leader is a mentor, coach and positive role model for staff. This role reports directly to the Clinical Manager, NICU. 1. Current registration as a regulated health professional in the province of Ontario. 2. Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare or related field, completed or in progress. 3. Minimum of 5 years recent clinical, education or leadership experience in a neonatal or pediatric acute care setting. 4. Demonstrated excellence in leadership, communication, organization, team building and conflict resolution in team-based settings. 5. Demonstrated creativity and innovation in the delivery of high quality patient care. 6. Demonstrated experience engaging teams to facilitate quality improvement initiatives. 7. Demonstrated experience implementing effective change management strategies. 8. Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to develop strategies to address complex challenges. 9. Demonstrated knowledge of roles across the interdisciplinary health care team. 10. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. 11. Demonstrated commitment to the vision, mission and values of Hamilton Health Sciences.
