This position will have specific responsibility for supporting B2N, the inpatient stroke rehabilitation services. The Clinical Manager functions according to the Accountability Statement for Clinical Managers. Specific responsibilities include: managing the day-to-day issues related to staffing and care delivery while facilitating the development of leadership skills in staff and facilitating the development of the interdisciplinary care team which is integral to the program; participating in the preparation of the annual operational and capital budgets for the Program and monitoring monthly financial statements; promoting an environment which supports clinical excellence, continuous learning and measurement and evaluation; ensuring that front-line staff have the facilities, equipment and resource necessary for the day-to-day functions and activities of the Program. 1. Baccalaureate Degree in one of the Health Disciplines 2. Recent (5 years) relevant clinical managerial experience in hospital environment 3. Knowledge of provincial health and community service systems 3. Demonstrated leadership and management skills 4. Evidence of commitment to continuous education through pursuit of graduate studies or comparable educational endeavors 5. Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building and the ability to initiate and model positive change
