Full Time (80 Hours/Biweekly) Shift: Nights General Summary Assists with the development and evaluation of Respiratory Care Services. The Clinical Manager is a leader, innovator, and change agent who impacts on the improvement of quality respiratory care to patients. Provides expert and complex clinical and technical respiratory training to the respiratory care staff; functions as a consultant to other health care providers within the hospital and the community; develops and monitors implementation of new respiratory care techniques and standards of practice; exercises clinical leadership through practice, development of staff, and research. Additionally, this position will perform in depth and comprehensive patient evaluations that will assess the efficacy and appropriateness of care; therapeutic status, educational needs and rehabilitative potential of the patient in order to more effectively coordinate the Disease Management process and act as a liaison between Respiratory Staff, Physicians, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Social Services and other healthcare disciplines as well as the patient, the patients' family and/or caretaker.
