As the Clinical Midwife Consultant you will work with the multidisciplinary team at University Hospital providing leadership and clinical knowledge in quality improvement in Maternity and Perinatal Care in all areas. You will lead quality improvement projects working collaboratively with the other CMCs, education, the quality and safety team, NUMs & MUMs and the Director of Women’s Services. The aim of the position will be to strive for excellence in Maternity and Perinatal care provision through research proven improvements to care delivery. You will also seek to enhance the professional development of the midwifery profession at University Hospital. You may at times lead the health service in participation in collaboratives aimed at improving health outcomes for women and neonates birthing at Barwon Health. As the Clinical Midwife Consultant you will work on improving maternity and perinatal benchmarks at the direction of the Directorate leadership and the Barwon Health Executive and will be actively involved in any informatics and digital medical record initiatives in the Maternity and Neonatal areas in the quality improvement and implementation area.
