CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE SOLICITOR / LEGAL EXECUTIVE (2–6 YEARS’ PQE)

Location: Leeds City Centre
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive (2–6 years’ experience) to join a leading Yorkshire firm at their Leeds City Centre office. This is a claimant-only role, offering the chance to work on a high-quality, multi-track caseload with strong supervision and peer support.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2–6 years PQE with solid claimant clinical negligence experience
  • Confident handling complex legal issues and sensitive client matters
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong case management abilities
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload effectively and independently
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • APIL Litigator or Senior Litigator accreditation (desirable)
  • Practising Certificate or equivalent qualification required
Responsibilities
  • Running a caseload of multi-track claimant clinical negligence matters
  • Handling cases from initial instruction through to conclusion in line with firm procedures
  • Liaising with clients and providing clear and sensitive legal advice
  • Instructing counsel and medical or legal experts
  • Preparing and managing legal documentation
  • Attending court and conducting advocacy where appropriate
  • Maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge and compliance
  • Participating in business development activities as needed
