Optimum Medical have an opportunity in Leeds for a Urology Clinical Nurse Advisor to join our fantastic clinical team!
As a Clinical Nurse Advisor, you must possess in-depth experience in urological healthcare and demonstrate a strong commercial awareness and a passion for working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with an active NMC Pin.
  • Proven experience within urology/continence
  • Proven experience as a clinical nurse with a solid understanding of clinical best practices
  • Natural ability to put patients at ease with kindness, good humour when appropriate, and encouragement.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and business stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in a commercial role within the healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and processes in healthcare.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software including Microsoft office.
Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support for any inbound/outbound enquiries into Optimum Medical & Vyne. To work with the Vyne Conversion team to identify opportunities to gain new referrals into the service.
  • To work with the Vyne Customer Care Team to improve retention and to provide feedback
  • To undertake remote Appliance Use Reviews (AUR) on patients registered with Vyne and submit numbers completed for the month.
  • To support cost effective prescribing of products for patients in their own homes through the AUR process
  • To ensure the patient understands the correct use of their products and how to store, dispose of and order new stock as required.
  • To promote the Vyne home delivery service to patients and professionals
  • To provide written feedback on the outcome of any AUR’s undertaken
  • To support the Nursing Team to ensure all patient documents are completed as per the standards of nursing documentation for Vyne, maintaining contemporaneous patient records and seamless care delivery.
  • To protect patient data in line with the Optimum/Vyne information governance policy.
  • To be able to manage own caseload of referrals effectively and prioritise according to clinical need.
  • To complete required monthly information for the Head of Nursing on activity carried out during the month.
  • To maintain own professional knowledge and skills to support revalidation and registration.
  • To own the AUR referrals process, allocating reviews appropriately within the Nurse Team
  • To maintain the company core values to enable delivery of excellent standards of care and service for our patients and customers.
  • To provide the Customer Care Team with anatomy/physiology training and in-house support with clinical queries, enhancing our competence in patient engagement.
