ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Registration: Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Clinical Practice is a senior nursing leader responsible for advancing evidence-based care, supporting clinical governance, and ensuring high standards of patient safety across Auburn Hospital. Other responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert consultancy and clinical leadership aligned with WSLHD and NSW Health.
  • Leading education programs to upskill staff in acute deterioration and policy application.
  • Overseeing quality improvement, incident reviews, and accreditation readiness (Standard 8).
  • Developing and updates clinical policies, ensuring best-practice models of care.
  • Driving research translation and performance monitoring to enhance patient outcomes.
