Department and location: Alcohol & Drug Service, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst
Salary: $131,870.90 - $134,500.70 + super.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• 
  Providing expert clinical advice and consultancy to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the Alcohol and Drug Service.
• 
  Part of the Hospital Drug and Alcohol Consultation Liaison (HDA-CL) team; providing care for the Psychiatric Alcohol and Non-Prescription Drug Assessment (PANDA) Unit; Emergency Department and the hospital more widely as part of a general consultation liaison.
• 
  Providing expert clinical telephone advice to health care professionals statewide who are contacting the Drug and Alcohol Specialist Advisory Service (DASAS).
• 
  Identifying deteriorating patients, providing appropriate care and escalating appropriately.
• 
  Initiate, develop and implement initiatives and projects which improve quality of service provided.
• 
  Conduct training of staff in clinical topics relevant to the model of care.
