Responsibilities
  • The Paediatric Clinical Nurse Consultant will provide expert clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty to deliver high quality clinical services in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist in enhancing the long term health outcomes of children within the Far West Local Health District by promoting and facilitating the delivery of high quality child health and paediatric services, participating in education and research initiatives; and providing clinical leadership and nursing consultancy services.
  • Participate in the development of Network and District wide paediatric service planning, implementing relevant NSW Health policies and strategic directions, and develop and co-ordinate professional education strategies for acute care and primary health care nursing staff.
