ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Position: Clinical Nurse Consultant (RN Grade 5)
EFT: 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Wren inpatient service is based at Ramsay Clinic Albert Road, 31 Albert Road. Ramsay Clinic is ideally located close to public transport (Anzac Station) and there is onsite discounted parking available.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.

You will have exceptional customer service, strong communication and interpersonal skills and meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health
  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area is preferable.
  • Ability to implement and provide education and training for clinical staff.
  • Ability to assess, plan, co-ordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice, recovery orientated practice, national standards, and relevant frameworks including Safewards.
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of service improvement and quality projects.
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision.
  • Experience working in perinatal mental health or eating disorders is preferable
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will have the opportunity to be active in a leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, while working and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across WREN inpatient unit and HITH team.
The opportunity also allows you to act as a clinical expert, professional role model and change agent to promote practice development and quality initiatives that promote the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality customer service.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BRING A STRONG CLINICAL SKILLSET WITH THE DRIVE TO SUCCEED IN A WARD-BASED LEADERSHIP ROLE.

Your passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service will be matched by your ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. You will be required to role model best practice and provide clinical support to nursing staff, allied health staff and lived experience staff.
