Clinical Nurse Consultant – ICU/CCU
Permanent part time or casual with a Global Health Care Company.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
Responsibilities:
- An exciting opportunity has become available to join our growing Critical Care Unit at St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital.
- 10 bed ICU/CCU with ventilation and CRRT capabilities.
- A mix of medical and surgical ICU patients, as well as a population of cardiac care patients.
- 4 regular Intensive Care Consultants, 8 ICU training registrars, and approximately 30 permanent ICU trained nurses.
- Looking for a candidate with minimum 5 years’ experience in critical care (post-graduate studies in Critical Care is a requirement).
- Flexible, part time, negotiable hours with a combination of 8- or 12-hour shifts.
- The CNC will be expected to work rotating shifts of day and nights to accommodate learning needs of staff members.
The Clinical Nurse Consultant role encompasses planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice, processes and services within the Hospital. You will be responsible for providing clinical direction and supervising designated nursing practice. You will also take on responsibility of ongoing professional development and upskilling of existing clinical team members.

This role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Acting as a professional resource and demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all aspects of critical care nursing practice,
- Demonstrating a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills within the clinical setting.
- Supervising and supporting staff within the unit.
- Participate in Quality improvement Programs in line with organisational and departmental strategic plans.
- Direct and assist nurses through a critical care novice program as part of the wider Ramsay Health Care Nursing Fellowship Program.
- Develop education opportunities and resources for staff.
