PeaceHealth is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. This full-time role will work across the ICU, CVICU, IMCU, and Vascular Access units, playing a vital role in ensuring our caregivers have the skills and knowledge to deliver the highest quality care to our patients.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, you should be a seasoned nurse with a passion for teaching. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (required) and a Master’s degree in Nursing or Education (preferred).
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse and at least three years of recent experience in an education or precepting role.
  • A current RN license in the state of Washington or active MSL (required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage learners using adult learning principles.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing instructional modules and using various educational methods.

YOUR ROLE AS A CLINICAL NURSE EDUCATOR

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be a leader and a mentor, a resource, and a champion for professional growth. You will collaborate with a team of educators and specialists to develop, coordinate, and implement programs that empower our nursing staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Serving as a resource for caregivers on nursing best practices and equipment.
  • Designing and delivering educational programs, including new hire orientation.
  • Assessing caregiver competency and providing remediation plans when needed.
  • Promoting evidence-based practice through research and education.
  • Evaluating education effectiveness to ensure clinical excellence and improve patient outcomes.
