Sydney Southwest Private Hospital - Clinical Nurse Educator - Theatres Department About the Role An exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experience Registered Nurse to support Sydney Southwest Private Hospital theatres team. · Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS) and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control) to determine team and individual learning needs in the theatres department. · Lead and foster a learning environment by designing, developing and facilitating education packages, providing team and individual coaching and coordinating subject matter experts (external and internal) to deliver training. Work with other educators, local universities and accredited training providers to facilitate the needs of undergraduate placements · Demonstrates professional practice as evidence by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements, Healthscope’s polices and processes, required registration, scope of practice, and patient confidentiality and privacy · Prioritises Healthscope’s patient safety and quality frameworks by identifying areas of improvement, participating in case reviews and clinical audits as required, initiating quality improvement projects, and when required participating in National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards and risk committees/meetings · Acts as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care and quality education by providing supervision and teaching to staff, and actively contributing to team processes and practices About you You will need to meet the following essential criteria: · Current registration with AHPRA with no limitations. · Demonstrated effective skills in communication (written and verbal), problem solving, managing people and coaching · Work Experience (at least 3 years) in Theatres department · Understand the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards Desirable criteria: • Certificate in workplace assessment and training • Post Graduate certificate in Clinical Education (or working towards) • Post Graduate qualification in scrub scout and anaesthetics To apply please submit online application or for more information please email evie.davidson@healthscope.com.au Applications close: Monday 17/11/2025
