Nepean Hospital is seeking a passionate Clinical Nurse Educator to lead, inspire and support the continuous development of Nursing staff within our Operating Suite.
This role will see you facilitate orientation and training,provide clinical leadership and mentoring, whilst supporting the staff across Scrub Scout, Anaesthetics and Recovery. You will collaborate with the Nurse Manager and Multidisciplinary teams to foster a culture of learning and clinical excellence.
You will be a proactive and dedicated Nurse with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others, all whilst working collaboratively in a high paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
