An exciting opportunity is now available for a dedicated and experienced nurse to join the Orthopaedic team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in a permanent full-time capacity. This pivotal role involves working in close collaboration with the Nursing Unit Managers to plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical education and staff development initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence by supporting the development and enhancement of clinical skills among nursing staff within the unit.

Responsibilities
  • Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
  • Relevant clinical/education post registration qualification
  • Recent extensive clinical experience deemed appropriate by the selection panel
  • Demonstrated ability to identify learning needs and to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate education.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner.
  • Demonstrated previous experience in clinical teaching, mentoring and preceptorship.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to working with NMUM to establish and maintain a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
