THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Clinical Nurse Educator specialising in mental health to support our Mental Health Ward at Ramsay Clinic Macarthur. You will also contribute to the strategic plan of the Hospital Education Department as an essential member of the team.

You will be required to:

  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based training and support to the staff in the Mental Health Unit.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs across the facility.
  • Provide valuable contributions to the hospital’s quality improvement process.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will be a trained nurse with exceptional customer service, confident communication, and strong interpersonal skills. You will also demonstrate:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience within the areas of mental health
  • Post graduate qualification in specialty area
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
  • Proven ability to always act as a positive role model and as a professional
  • Team leading experience
  • Possess excellent time management skills and well development clinical problem-solving skills
  • A passion for mentoring junior team members and positively influencing their performance

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
