Description

In this Clinical Nurse Educator role, based at Epworth Camberwell, you will be responsible for facilitating workplace learning through clinical teaching, supervision, assessment, and staff support. You will work closely with learners in our Graduate and Specialty Programs, guiding them to achieve the academic and clinical objectives required for their development.
As part of the Epworth Continuing Care & Support Services Education team, and reporting to the Education Manager, you will contribute to a culture of excellence in nursing education. This 0.6 EFT position is offered on a fixed-term, 12-month basis as parental leave cover, providing the opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled and confident rehabilitation nurses.
Epworth Camberwell Rehabilitation comprises three dedicated wards: Rehab Unit A, Rehab Unit B, and Rehab Unit C. All providing specialist rehabilitation services in orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, and general reconditioning care. Each unit delivers multidisciplinary recovery programs supported by state-of-the-art facilities, including hydrotherapy pools and rehabilitation gyms.
In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting evidence-based practice and clinical excellence, while mentoring and developing staff across a range of rehabilitation specialties. You will foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment that enhances patient outcomes and independence. Through your leadership, you will ensure that staff are equipped with the skills, confidence, and professional growth required to deliver exceptional rehabilitation nursing care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant Postgraduate qualification (or working towards).
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

  • A minimum of four years’ experience in rehabilitation or acute care nursing.
  • Previous education / facilitation experience is desirable, though not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to work strongly with dynamic and diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Highly developed communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and achieve outcomes.
  • High level of self-motivation, accountability, and ability to work within agreed parameters.
