This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly skilled multidisciplinary team in a state-of-the-art private hospital environment. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical support and leadership to nursing staff within the General Surgery service. Working closely with surgeons, nursing colleagues and allied health professionals, you will help coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centred care for a diverse surgical patient cohort. The Clinical Nurse will play an important role in promoting clinical excellence, supporting evidence-based practice, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives within the unit. You will also support staff development, assist with complex clinical decision-making, and help maintain safe and efficient patient flow across the surgical service. What you bring • Recent and relevant acute General Surgical nursing experience • Demonstrated experience in Hepatobiliary and Colorectal nursing (highly desirable) • Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to provide guidance and support to nursing staff • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team • Postgraduate qualifications in surgical nursing or a related specialty (desirable) • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) • Strong organisational, problem-solving and prioritisation skills Why work for Calvary?
