About us:
Gladstone Hospital's High Dependency Unit (HDU) is a four-bed unit providing acute nursing care for patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and intervention. Operating within a Level 3 Clinical Services Capability Framework, the HDU supports patients until they are stabilised for stepdown to a general ward or prepared for transfer to a tertiary facility. The unit provides cardiac and haemodynamic monitoring, inotropic support and invasive and non-invasive ventilation, alongside external cardiac telemetry monitoring. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you'll join a team committed to delivering safe, responsive and high-quality care to the Gladstone community
About the role:
As a Clinical Nurse within the High Dependency Unit, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients with complex and high-dependency needs while taking an active leadership role within the team. You'll use your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, provide clinical supervision and education, and support the development of a skilled and capable nursing workforce.

You'll also contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits, research and evidence-based practice, and may work as Clinical Coordinator and MET call responder when rostered.
