UPMC Western Behavioral Health in partnership with Westmoreland County are excited to open our new Westmoreland County Crisis Walk-In facility and are looking for a Clinical Nurse Manager to join the team! Westmoreland County Crisis is a 24/7 facility providing support and care to individuals experiencing self-identified crisis through resources, respite, and referrals to mental health treatment and other providers. As Clinical Nurse Manager you will provide administration of the nursing unit, clinical care staff and processes involved with the facility. Responsibilities: · Assesses staff learning needs; develops and delivers education; coordinates student nursing experiences; supports research activities; facilitates and participates in peer review; performs related duties. · Participates in ongoing staff development; applies organizational theory, ethical standards, and sound administrative judgment; develops and evaluates clinical programs; collaborates across disciplines; maintains accurate records; identifies and resolves service issues. · Evaluates nursing care, milieu programming, and staffing needs; collaborates with leadership on nursing practice standards; develops annual nursing goals and plans; oversees quality of patient care; ensures adherence to clinical standards; evaluates unit programs. · Oversees hiring, scheduling, payroll, supervision, performance management, discipline, and delegation of nursing staff; manages staffing within budget constraints; conducts quality improvement activities; ensures regulatory compliance; manages unit budget. · Demonstrates systems-level leadership; maintains required certifications and compliance with professional standards; ensures physical capability for direct patient care; models professional conduct; fulfills system-wide competencies and other assigned duties. · Develop and support team morale, wellness, and safety practices, including both system initiatives as well as program level initiatives. · Ensure program practices adhere to regulation and compliance requirements. RN Required. BSN or Masters degree in nursing, psychology, social work, education or equivalent. Masters preferred. One-year relevant clinical experience in psychiatric setting. Experience in family, group and individual therapy and previous management experience preferred. Must be 21 years of age. On call responsibilities may be present. Must be able to work overtime as required by the Business Unit WBH. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Current licensure to practice within that profession is required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire · Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) · Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC) · Registered Nurse (RN) · Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal · Act 33 with renewal · Act 34 with renewal · Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
