Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is dedicated to delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred healthcare in partnership with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Educator (CNME) who will collaborate with the Nursing/Midwifery Unit Manager to develop, implement, and evaluate engaging educational programs for staff within the ward.
In this vital role, you’ll lead clinical teaching, orientation, and skill development, while supporting the professional growth of nursing and midwifery staff and students. You’ll also be involved in delivering tailored courses across NBMLHD facilities, contributing to the advancement of healthcare education district wide.

• Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications in Paediatrics, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
• Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes that align with NSW Health’s organisation’s CORE values of; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment, when interacting with staff, patients, consumers, and carers.
• Demonstrated ability to design, implement and evaluate clinical education at the ward/unit level, and provide support and guidance to ensure an appropriately skilled and qualified nursing and midwifery workforce, working within appropriate models of care.
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and the maintenance of a learning environment that values and encourages learning and reflective practice.
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation, feedback and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, support and engage people in the clinical setting and work professionally in a multidisciplinary team
• Evidence of computer literacy and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and record management systems.
