You will also have the following:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical problem-solving abilities and risk minimisation.
  • Demonstrated high level of clinical competence in the perioperative environment.
  • Minimum 3 years Neurosurgical specialty experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and support others.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality and infection control processes.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

The Perioperative department at Pindara Private Hospital offers an extensive range of surgical services across 16 fully equipped operating theatres, 2 endoscopy suites and 1 cardiac catheter lab. As Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Operating Theatre you will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of resources in the neurosurgery subspecialty with the goal of ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies, procedures and best practice.
You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff alongside a supportive leadership team. This is a perfect opportunity for a senior nurse to step up into a clinical leadership role and build your skillset.
This is a permanent part-time role. This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and works a 7-day rotating roster.
