Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified applicant as band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialists within the unplanned pregnancy service and our integrated sexual health clinics within the directorate of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
You will be an important member of a multi-disciplinary team to autonomously deliver sexual health care in a variety of settings and venues.
You should be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, working a maximum of two evenings and occasional Saturday working where required.
Working within the abortion service
Contraception provision
Sexual Health advice/treatment
Partner Notification
Assist with vasectomy team when required (training will be given)
Cervical Screening in accordance with CSW guidelines
Advice and onward referral for unplanned pregnancy
Provide vaccinations as per health protection agency
Manage expectations of young people in the young person’s clinics, providing all aspects of sexual health care, ensuring young person is always safeguarded.
Recognition and reporting of risks to young people and adults e.g., Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) violence against adults including sexual violence and protection of a vulnerable people – child and adult safeguarding
The ability to speak Welsh is not required for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
