The purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) position is to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service. The CNS employs advanced clinical skills and exercises extended autonomy of decision making working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.
As our CNS2, you’ll be an integral part of the dynamic RACF Outreach multidisciplinary team which provides clinical support to Residential Aged Care Facilities within SLHD. The model is based on delivery of a mix of specialist nursing and medical services to ensure timely access to the most appropriate form of care. The care may be delivered by telephone, face to face or Telehealth. The service operates 7 days per week.
