The Role: As a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Melanoma with us, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering specialist, patient-centred care and acting as the designated Key Worker for patients undergoing anticancer treatment. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring seamless continuity of care while delivering expert clinical advice, education, and emotional support to patients, families, and carers. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives, and the ongoing advancement of oncology nursing practice within a leading independent cancer care provider. What You’ll Do: •  Act as the designated Key Worker for a clinical caseload, coordinating and maintaining continuity of care throughout the patient pathway. •  Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate personalised care plans using the GenesisCare-approved Holistic Needs Assessment (HNA) tool. •  Provide specialist nursing advice, support, and education to patients, families, and carers throughout treatment. •  Conduct nurse-led clinics and work autonomously to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care. •  Collaborate closely with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless patient experience. •  Support patients with self-management strategies and refer to appropriate support services where required. •  Participate actively in MDT meetings and contribute to treatment pathway development and standards of care. •  Lead and support quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and access to treatment. •  Provide clinical leadership, acting as a role model and resource for colleagues across the service. •  Deliver specialist teaching, education, and support to healthcare professionals involved in patient care. •  Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with governance, risk management, and information governance standards. •  Support innovation and continuous improvement within the oncology service. What You’ll Have: •  Registered Adult Nurse (NMC registered). •  Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, including at least 2 years within cancer care, palliative care, or a relevant speciality. •  Previous experience working as a Clinical Nurse Specialist or within an advanced practice role is desirable. •  First level degree in a related subject. •  Post-registration qualification in cancer care, palliative care, or a relevant speciality. •  Evidence of Masters level study or willingness to work towards this. •  Advanced Communication Skills Training. •  Level 2 Psychological Skills Training. •  Teaching and assessing qualification in clinical practice or equivalent. •  Experience of audit, research, service development, or quality improvement initiatives is desirable. •  Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and negotiation skills. •  Experience working within multidisciplinary teams. •  Excellent written communication and IT skills. •  Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment. •  A compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused approach with the ability to manage emotionally complex situations. •  Flexible approach to working and willingness to travel between sites if required.
