Responsibilities: The Specialist (Nursing Services – Off Campus Hospitals) will support nursing excellence through clinical leadership, staff development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Key responsibilities include: Serve as a clinical expert in providing specialty-based education and guidance to nursing staff. Assess learning needs of nursing staff and develop structured educational and competency-based training programs. Develop specialty-based courses, educational materials, and annual educational plans in coordination with Nurse Managers and Nurse Instructors. Coordinate and monitor in-service education sessions and ensure completion of competency-based orientation programs for newly hired staff. Mentor, coach, and support Nurse Instructors, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, and Head Nurses to enhance clinical knowledge and leadership skills. Ensure timely completion and maintenance of staff certifications, credentials, and competency validations. Demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and support nursing staff in managing complex patient care situations. Conduct clinical rounds to monitor quality of care, adherence to clinical standards, and patient safety practices. Identify patient safety risks and implement appropriate interventions to ensure safe and effective care delivery. Monitor clinical indicators, nursing-sensitive indicators, and patient outcomes to ensure compliance with quality standards. Participate in clinical audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes. Collaborate with nursing leadership to implement divisional nursing education, quality, and professional development initiatives. Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies, protocols, and standards of nursing practice. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote coordinated, patient-centered care. Participate in institutional committees, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities. Support performance management processes by mentoring and evaluating nursing staff and providing constructive feedback. Identify and develop high-potential nursing staff to support leadership development and succession planning. Promote a culture of continuous learning, professional development, and excellence in nursing practice. Requirements: The incumbent must have: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) from a recognized institution (Master’s degree in Nursing preferred). Valid and current registration with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC). Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience, including 2–3 years in clinical teaching, staff development, or specialty nursing practice at a tertiary care hospital. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS, PALS, or NRP Instructor certification preferred. Certifications in safe medication administration, intravenous cannulation, clinical education, mentorship, or related areas will be an added advantage. Demonstrated clinical expertise and ability to apply evidence-based nursing practice. Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, and staff development skills. Sound knowledge of patient safety standards, clinical quality improvement, and nursing care protocols. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple hospital sites and with multidisciplinary teams.
