THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Theatre Team specialising in Orthopaedic Scrub Scout. As Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of quality patient care, developing standards of practice, implementing changes to clinical practice and you will be responsible for delivering quality improvement initiatives within our Orthopaedic Theatres.
You will have the opportunity to work in an active leadership role, including the development and provision of evidence-based clinical nursing, whilst working and collaborating within our multidisciplinary team.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

You will have exceptional customer service, strong communication and interpersonal skills and also meet the following criteria:

• Relevant registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years in Orthopaedic specialty as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to shift work roster
• Post-graduate qualification, undertaking same or working towards
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills to ensure excellence customer service is delivered.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
