The Role
MQ Health has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join MQ Health’s theatre department on a full-time permanent basis. At Macquarie University Hospital, we offer extensive cardiac and vascular surgery including Coronary artery bypass grafts, mitral valve repairs, lobectomies and various robotic surgeries. The successful candidate must be a dynamic and experienced scrub nurse who can utilise their experience in cardiac and vascular surgery to provide specialist services in our Theatre department. In this role, you’ll use your experience to provide expert and evidence- based nursing care, educate and mentor theatre staff and provide clinical leadership within the theatres.

To Apply
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1–2-page cover letter.
- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Extensive knowledge in Cardiac, Vascular and Respiratory
- Demonstrated clinical experience and extensive knowledge in the management of patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and educate staff.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

- Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Up-to-date immunisations
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Up-to-date CPR accreditation
- Criminal History Check
