About the role: The ideal candidate will identify opportunities for growth and lead strategic expansion of services to meet future demands. Leading from the front, this position requires leadership and striving to help others to excel. Seeking to increase knowledge and skills to grow new technology platforms into high performing specialities. Hepatobiliary and Cardiothoracic in addition to the already proven Urology, Bariatric and Colorectal. The Clinical Nurse will take a hands-on clinical leadership role providing direction, support, supervision, teaching and clinical specialty direction for RN’s, EN’s and GNP’s, AIN’s and PSA’s. Be responsible for providing a high standard of evidence-based peri operative nursing care to individuals / patients of varying ages and cultural groups at Ashford Hospital. Adhere to ACHA’s site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective and economic running of the peri operative service. Participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, through National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS), Workplace Health and Safety, achievement of hospital accreditation and always deliver a high standard of Customer service. Daily running of the Clinics Liaising with Specialists – establish and maintain an ongoing professional working relationship with Surgeons, assistants and Anaesthetist’s within these clinics.
