Acknowledging that UPEI is located on the unceded land of the Mi’kmaq Nation, of the Wabanaki Confederacy, in the traditional district of Epekwitk, the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Prince Edward Island, welcomes applications from exceptional candidates for the following clinical nursing instructor opportunity:
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have earned a minimum of a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN or BN) and have at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience and be eligible for licensure with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island.
Applicants must have recent, hands-on experience in designing and delivering simulation-based education. In addition, completion of certification through the Canadian Nurse Educators Institute (CNEI), earning the designation of Canadian Certified Simulation Nurse Educator (CCSNE), is required.
Experience in providing clinical supervision of students (including preceptorships) or peer clinical education would be an asset. The Canadian Nurse Educators Institute (CNEI) Clinical Instructor Certificate course would be an asset. Master’s degree in nursing would be an asset. Valid driver’s license is required.
Hours: Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $49.59 to $54.11 per hour in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the University of Prince Edward Island Board of Governors and The University of Prince Edward Island Faculty Association Bargaining Unit #1.
