The ideal location for this role is Houston, TX or Tampa, FL and expected schedule requirements are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Eastern or Central time based on location. Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred for this role but not required. What You’ll Do As a Clinical Nutrition Technician at Imagine Pediatrics, you will be an integral member of the nutrition care team, working collaboratively alongside Registered Dietitians (RDs) to support our mission of increasing safe days at home for pediatric patients with chronic medical, feeding, or behavioral health concerns. The Clinical Nutrition Technician will help to gather key nutrition information, aid in nutrition visit preparation, assist with caregiver communication, and help ensure efficient workflow. All work is completed under the supervision of an RD. In this role you will: Conduct nutrition screenings within defined protocols and pre-visit assessments to support the RDs initial assessment and identify the need for potential follow-up assessment by RD. Assist in creating individualized meal plans, nutrition handouts with RD oversight and review of final plan. Prepare charts with nutrition, review external medical records and anthropometrics in advance of RD visits. Assist with nutrition scheduling and coordinating with the scheduling team when needed. Review nutrition-related messages from patients and caregivers addressing needs within scope of practice and escalating RDs as appropriate. Communicate with DME companies, internal team members, and external clinical staff to support nutrition needs and resolve formula access barriers with the support of RDs where needed. · Support smooth, patient-centered workflow by maintaining organization, ensuring timely documentation, and communicating clearly with caregivers and the multidisciplinary team. Develop and adjust nutrition care plans and monitor progress toward goals in coordination with RD. Provide scope of practice appropriate nutrition education to caregivers with RD oversight. Set priorities, work independently (with RD oversight and review of final product) and cooperatively with others within and outside the department. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Science Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required State licensure as a DTR where applicable, required 1+ years of experience post-graduation Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred Pediatric patient care, strongly preferred Virtual care experience a plus What We Offer (Benefits + Perks) The hourly rate for this position ranges from $22 - 30 per hour in addition to competitive company benefits package and eligibility to participate in an employee equity purchase program (as applicable).
