Description Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a part-time Clinical Office Specialist at our Layton A location. Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Specialty: Rheumatology Infusion Center Essential Job Responsibilities: Receive phone calls and respond to patient concerns. Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions and procedures. Schedule follow-up appointments for physician. Assist with other office duties as needed. Stocking rooms/office Position does not include ordering (lab/imaging) Position does not include any invasive procedures Other duties approved by the supervisor Requirements Education: High School Diploma Other Requirements: One or more years health care experience preferred. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job Performance Requirements: Knowledge: Contemporary office practices, procedures and techniques Spelling, vocabulary, math and grammar skills appropriate to the level of the position Insurance requirements and referrals Skills: Operating a computer and various software packages Operating a variety of office equipment Creating, organizing and keeping records Good communication skills Abilities: Develop and maintain effective working relationships Maintain a reliable and dependable attendance record Provide effective and responsive service to clinic patients in the office setting Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Work Environment: Position is in a well-lighted office environment. Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
